York University actively encourages applications from students with disabilities. Admissions Committees select academically qualified candidates for admission by examining each applicant's academic record and the relationship of any extenuating circumstances. Current application procedures are subject to change. Please verify procedures directly with the relevant department.
Students with disabilities who choose to identify themselves in the application process have the opportunity to apply under a modified admissions procedure which is coordinated by CDS and the Office of Admissions. Under this procedure, students should submit written supporting documentation from a qualified medical or psychological professional stating the nature of the disability diagnosis and any extenuating circumstances for consideration by the Admissions sub-committee for the faculty to which the student is applying. Additional information is available on the Information for Applicants with Diagnosed Disabilities page of the Future Students website.
