Mindfulness is the practice of being fully aware of whatever is happening in the present moment, without filters or the lens of judgment. It is a practice that can lead to better stress management, decreased anxiety, increased concentration and more balanced interaction with everyday situations.
"Mindfulness in Motion" will allow participants an opportunity to learn how to combine breath and movement to help reduce stress. We will Incorporate mindful breathing, restorative yoga, and gentle movements to improve health and wellness.
Participants should wear comfortable clothing. Yoga mats and straps will be provided.
This session will be facilitated by a Student Accessibility Services (SAS) Peer Mentor who is a registered Yoga teacher. It is open to students registered with SAS.
