Assistive Technology Lab

This lab is located in room TEL 1017 in the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) building. The Assistive Technology Lab offers services to ALL students registered with any of the Disability Services' units.

Closures

NOTE: Until further notice, the lab will open at 10:15 every Thursday.

Both sides of the lab will be closed on Tuesday, May 9th. The main side will reopen on Wednesday, May 10, but Side b will remain closed until Friday May 12.

 

 

 

 

Printer Status

As of 620 on Wednesday, February 15, the main printer is out of service.

 Fall/Winter  Hours:

Monday to Thursday - 8:30am to 7:00pm
Friday 8:30 - 4:30pm
Saturday - Closed
Sunday - Closed

Summer  Hours:

The following hours will begin the week of Monday May 30, 2016

Monday to Wednesday - 8:30am to 7:00pm

Thursday: 10:15am - 7:00pm
Friday 8:30 - 3:30pm
Saturday - Closed
Sunday - Closed

 

Gaming Night!

There will be a gaming night in the lab every 3rd Tuesday of each month. It will run from 3:30-6:30. There will be PS4 with multiplayer games, along with board games and Kapla blocks.

 

Assistive Technology Lab Resources

  • A quiet work space that has access to the internet and limited printing
  • Access to 3 individual low sensory spaces 2 of which can be booked via our online system.  Here is a video with further instructions
  • Assistive Technology Specialists that offer training and support in the use of various assistive (and mainstream) hardware and software

Low Sensory Spaces

Low-sensory spaces are available in the Assistive Technology Lab for students who need a break.  These  spaces can be booked in advance or used on a drop-in basis.

Adaptive Account Request Form

If you are a student who is currently registered with Disability Services and would like access to an Adaptive computer account in order to access the computers in the lab, please complete the Adaptive Account Request Form.
